A fascination for:
…jumping up and down on electronic dance-style drops,
…drinking coffee with indie singer-songwriters, and
…spreading good vibes with modern vocal-inspired melodies.
That’s what brings two brothers – Thies (17) and Stijn (27) – together in their musical dream: Teison, an Amsterdam-based electronic music duo.
Teison’s music is all about beautiful, honest songs that make you want to dance as soon as the drop kicks in. Groovy rhythms, pleasing vocal-inspired melodies and a bouncy feel will make sure you can’t stand still. The duo cites Coldplay, The Chainsmokers, Ed Sheeran, Jon Bellion, Louis The Child and ODESZA as biggest inspirations.
Teison started in 2014, where Thies was exposed at the age of 14 to the shows of some of the worlds largest DJ’s: Tiesto, Hardwell, Nicky Romero, just to name a few… And did you know that India has some of the craziest, energetic crowds on the planet?! At the end of that inspiring year Thies decided to launch the Teison project around his new passion, creating electronic music. With first unofficial remixes reaching around 20,000 plays a year later he started playing shows in some of Bangalore, India’s hottest clubs and creating a name for himself online. In the summer of 2016 Thies ended up in the studio with Stijn van Zon, his 10 year older brother. Stijn had 17 years of guitar playing experience under his belt and the collaboration went seamlessly resulting in the debut single, ‘Floating Away’. A good-vibes track based around a groovy chord progression, addictive vocals and a guitar melody that gets stuck in your head and makes you want to dance. After reaching nearly 1 million streams online on all streaming platforms combined, the two brothers decided to fully commit to Teison together at the start of 2017. The brothers are now based in their homeland of The Netherlands, in the city of Amsterdam. They have plans of world domination and most of all, sharing the love and passion they put into their music with the world.
